What is Islands?
The year is 2512. The human species has survived nuclear amargeddon - sort of. The survivors on a small Pacific island have rebuilt civilization the best they could. An oligargy of ruling intellectuals control the hearts and minds of the population in order to guide it into the future. Everything seems peaceful in this island paradise. But are the citizens as happy as they seem to be? Or are there darker forces at work....

Franklin – The High Mechanic
The holder of over sixty patents for commercial antigravity devices, Franklin has been a High Councilor for five years. In that short time he has become famous for abstaining on votes he considers to be outside the purview of the High Council, even going so far as to write "none of our business" on draft bills before having them sent back to the Common Council.
Franklin is performed by Benjamin Ball. Ben has been seen is shows such as Missed Connections (Hamilton Fringe, 2011), Lovers and Other Strangers (Trent Theatre Company, 2007), and Heroes and Villains (Famous Couch Theatre Company, 2006). He has also been in comedy/improv shows such as Huckleberry Funn (Black Swan Comedy!, 2011) and IMPROVINATOR! (John Candybox Theatre, 2011).
